I owe Workman Press something of an apology.
Regretfully, I made an error a few posts back. I mistakenly attributed a book to Quirk Publishing!
The book in question is actually an offering from Workman Publishing. I worked with Art Director Jean-Marc Troadec on this satirical work. The book is The Anthology of Really Important Modern Poetry. I thought I would share some more of the work from this wonderful read today.
Book Illustration Scans
In my previous post, I took scans from the actual book. Today, I discovered the folder of original art files. I present some of these portraits here.
This is essentially a collection of hedcuts, like I pioneered for the WSJ. For this project, though, I added a little engraving twist just for this book. Here are some of these portraits of celebrity-‘Cicero’s’ of the day. I hope you enjoy them.
Perhaps you’ll pick up a copy of this witty tome from Workman Publishing… you won’t be disappointed!
