Some Illustrations for New York Life

Several years ago, I created a small series of illustrations for New York Life insurance company. The client wanted a set of conceptual drawings in my detailed, WSJ style. I think they are elegant in their simplicity…

Three gears, working together. The trick here was to get the cogs to interlink convincingly.

An Hourglass. I like the angle and crop of this one.

A very intricate oyster shell, complete with prized pearl.

A sheaf of wheat. This drawing, too, was challenging in its complexity.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this brief tour. More next week!
