Bryan and Tony's
I've been eating like a King this holiday season. The reason is that my daughter brought her guy home for a three weeks-plus visit, coming down from Nova Scotia. Bryan Picard set up shop in our kitchen and never stopped creating mouth-watering dishes!I have to admit: I like food. So, Bryan and I got along very well indeed. Like mayonnaise and chipotle sauce. Beouf-Bourgognon and Patates-au-gratin. You get the idea. So, being in a food-savouring mode, I thought I might pull out some toothsome visual favorites from over the years.Several years ago, a very talented guy, Kevin Akers, contacted me to do a series of illustrations for a Sacramento, California food distributor by the name of "Tony's". Kevin does a great job documenting his work, and you can check out the Tony's design evolution, which includes my input. The illustration project I helped out with came out like this...All the work I did was in black and white...
Kevin colorized the entire project, doing wonderful work providing the color context. You'll have to ask him how he did it!
