illustrations, Kevin SproulsLast Summer, I was asked by Ami Arad, the Founder & CEO of Wingtip, a posh San Francisco club, to create a series of portraits. These illustrations were to portray several major actors, be framed, and installed on a wall within the club. How could I say "no"?The second source photo I received was this...The conceit of this project lies in the picture-titles. Rather than identifying the actors, the nameplates within the frames refer to the characters they inhabit. The finished portrait depicts Robert Downey, Jr. from "Iron Man" playing the character Tony Stark...Ami posted a picture of the installation so far...This post is the second of seven, presenting the portraits I have completed thus far. I'll post one character each day... I hope you enjoy them.
