This week, some Johnnie Walker Spot Illustrations.A while back Karen Barrows, an Art Director and Principal of her own Agency, located in New Jersey, rang me up. She was handling advertising for the famous Johnny Walker Scotch brand and had a proposal for me.The proposal was for a series of spot illustrations in the WSJ style that I pioneered quite some time ago. These spots would serve as helpful tips on the proper etiquette connected with ordering, handling and serving Johnnie Walker.Karen supplied some elegant photo-reference, which I assembled for my purposes:Next, I did some sketch-work…Then, it was on to the finished artwork. Karen requested that a hint of color be applied to these spot illustrations.
