Historical Portraits in the WSJ Hedcut Style
Right now, I’m working on some historical portraits in the WSJ Hedcut Style for a design firm called Cornett. www.teamcornett.com I'm drawing this group of four portraits for a distillery company called Buffalo Trace. Perhaps you’ve heard of them. I’m making the drawings to honor their Master Distillers, as a follow-up to a collection of WSJ type portraits I did for them a few years ago. I’ll share some of these with you in this post.
Historical Portraits in the WSJ Hedcut Style for Buffalo Trace
My drawings are very well-suited for use as historical portraits and images. The engraving-like quality of the illustrations hearkens back to earlier times. There is quality in a hand-drawn rendering that comes from spending the time it takes to form a detailed profile of the subject.
I hope you enjoyed these portraits of the Master Distillers over at Buffalo Trace.
