Some Illustrations for New York Life

Several years ago, I created a small series of illustrations for New York Life insurance company. The client wanted a set of conceptual drawings in my detailed, WSJ style. I think they are elegant in their simplicity…Three gears, working together. The trick here was to get the cogs to interlink convincingly. An Hourglass. I like the angle and crop of this one.A very intricate oyster shell, complete with prized pearl.A sheaf of wheat. This drawing, too, was challenging in its complexity.I hope you’ve enjoyed this brief tour. More next week!
