Wine Illustrations by Kevin Sprouls

all images, c. Kevin SproulsThis week, some wine illustration, with a special bonus illustration of wine critic, Robert Parker which I created a few years back. Recently, my wife and I had dinner out. We brought along the great Italian red seen above. It was my favorite type: a dry Italian red. The vintage was 2013. It was fabulous! Here are two interesting wine illustrations I did for the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board:These were for an ad series featuring wines the board was promoting. It was a fun project. Each wine had its own theme, with characters adorning the rather ornate bottle illustration. The figure above has some "business on the side" I'm thinking! This figure is a little more innocent, relaxing on a lawn chair with a book. So, back to the Italian red... The 2013 Palazzo del Torre Veroneze got some high marks. Wine critic James Suckling gave it a 92.Here is the portrait I made of critic Robert Parker. He gave the wine a 90. More next week... Cheers!
