Illustrating a Baby Portrait
A couple of weeks ago, I was tasked with creating the baby portrait of a young child.
Getting started with the baby photo
First of all, the photograph provided was not ideal, just a paper snapshot that was recorded by an iPhone. The client emailed the resulting image to me.And here it is:
This image was the best the client could provide me with, so I got down to work. After viewing this photograph for a while, I decided to ‘photoshop’ the sunflower in the composition, to give it a bit more life. Here is the resulting working image that I used to create the illustration…

Finally, after a full day’s work, the portrait came out like this:
The final result pleased the client; I am relieved to say!
