Illustrations for Annual Reports
My corporate portraits are a natural fit as illustrations for Annual Reports. I have drawn many, many executives in my time, starting with my hedcut illustrations which I developed at The Wall Street Journal, up through my more recent work at Worth magazine. Here are a few illustrations to showcase this facet of my work:I did this portrait of Charles Schwab for a Schwab annual report. I believe it was the cover illustration. This image is featured on a website called Crunite. This site promotes illustration and photography for use by annual report designers and their corporate clients. I’m happy to be part of their team.
Here is an illustration I created for a New York Life annual report. In this drawing, I’m using a more linear style, reminiscent of the engravings you’ll find on physical stock certificates.
Though not strictly an annual report piece, this image fits the category. Depicted is a Drury University professor that I produced for their bi-annual magazine. Here's another post with some of my work for Drury.
The iconic WSJ type hedcut portrait. I do a lot of these, for annual reports andmany other applications.
This highly detailed drawing ran in a full-page Wall Street Journal advertisement for the Ernst & Young company. Again, not an annual report piece, but it certainly could be. It was satisfying to see this drawing at some 16” deep or so. Great exposure! So, that’s all for now. More adventures in illustration next week…
