Illustrated Food

I recently came across some illustrations I created featuring food. Most were done for magazines, so I’ll begin with these…

Some of these images were done for a Rodale magazine called Men’s Health. Above, the typical set-up for making Guacamole, including the tortilla chip. Next, a couple of drawings of Artichokes…

The above may have been for Esquire. I’ve worked for a lot of periodicals… Garden Design, GQ, The New Yorker, Field and Stream to mention a few.

Here is an illustration I created for New York Life, I believe it went into their Annual Report one year:

Several years back, I received an assignment to illustrate a large-formal calendar for Tony’s, a food-distributor in California. This image was commemorated the month of October:

Finally, the makings of a Potato Soup…

This elegant arrangement is also likely to have published in Men’s Health. The A/D there, Chris Gangi, used my talents for many years in a number of magazines.
